1. Overview
Simko 2.0 rebuilds the admin interface from scratch. The same week brought the groundwork for managing many properties in one app, plus sign-in with a Google account.

The next version is 2.1, released 26 September 2026. The full version history is available in the app under account menu → Version.
2. New admin interface
Every admin page has been rebuilt with a new interface, including the icons, dropdowns, and sidebar.
The old interface stays available during the transition period, so you don't have to switch right away.
3. Card or table view
Data pages such as tenants, rooms, and transactions can be shown as cards or as a table.
- The default is set per property, from the Settings menu in the header.
- If it has never been set, the default is cards.
4. Light/dark theme and accent colours
A theme button in the header switches between light, dark, or follow system, plus a choice of accent colour. The default theme is Dark Teal.

Beyond the admin pages, this version also includes the tenant portal, the public landing page, and password reset via OTP.
Not usable yet: Booking already appears in the sidebar, but its page is still under construction.
6. Many properties in one app
Follow-up update, 31 August 2026.
Simko can now serve many properties at once. Rooms, tenants, transactions, and other data are stored separately per property, so a manager of one property cannot see another property's data.
7. Google sign-in
Follow-up update, 31 August 2026.
Property managers sign in with their Google account, with no password to remember.
- Each property can have up to 5 Gmail accounts for its managers.
- Tenants still sign in with a username and password.
8. WhatsApp Gateway and billing reminders per property
Follow-up update, 31 August 2026.
- Each property connects its own WhatsApp number, so messages to tenants are sent from that property's number.
- Billing reminders are sent per property.
9. Not in 2.0 yet
These features arrive in later versions.
